| Sturtevant Explosion Proof Heavy Duty Vacuum Cleaner for Middle East Chemical Plant
Clyde Materials Handling recently delivered a Heavy Duty Industrial Vacuum Cleaner (MIVC) for use in potentially explosive conditions in a chemical plant in the Middle East. Proving Clyde Materials Handling's ability to adapt products to specific customer requirements, the Chieftain MIVC was supplied with explosion proof motors and control panel certified for use in Zone 1 applications to match the end user's specific requirements. The Chieftain 861FP is to be used primarily for unloading catalyst material from a process, loading the material directly into drums for ease of handling with the use of a cyclone separator and 80mm diameter hoses and pick-up tool. The Chieftain can also be used for general cleaning duties utilising the two 50mm hose connection points on the front of the machine, thus enabling two operators to undertake their duties independently over considerable distances from the unit. Whilst being large and powerful enough to provide Heavy Duty Performance, the Chieftain is mobile enough to be easily re-sited manually or by fork truck to undertake duties around the site.
